To achieve this, Åkerströms chose to implement the fanless and compact industrial computer ASUS PV100A, supplied by ACTE Solutions.

Solution

The ASUS PV100A is built to withstand harsh conditions and is equipped with an energy-efficient ARM-based processor, passive cooling, and a durable construction that can handle both high and low temperatures. Thanks to dual LAN ports, serial communication, and LTE support, the device is perfectly suited for Åkerströms’ advanced control systems.

With the ASUS PV100A, Åkerströms now has a MIL-STD-810 certified gateway that ensures reliable communication with the company’s cloud services. The fact that the ASUS PV100A is also E-Mark certified has been a major advantage, as the same unit can be used even when it needs to be installed in vehicles.
