H series supercapacitors

ART.NO: H series supercaps

H series supercapacitors from CAP-XX offer a stable and efficient solution for managing pulse loads and energy storage. These supercapacitors operate at 2.75V nominal voltage (2.9V peak) per cell and 5.5V nominal voltage (5.8V peak) for dual cell modules. With an operating temperature range of -40°C to +70°C and a maximum temperature of up to +85°C, the H-Series is suitable for harsh environments and critical applications.

H-Series supercapacitors are ideal for managing power spikes at pulse loads, extending battery life and providing a reliable back-up power supply. They enable the use of cheaper, smaller and low-current batteries while providing an uninterrupted power supply for mission-critical operations. Thanks to their fast charging, the supercapacitors can be easily charged via cable, docking station or induction, maximising the uptime of connected devices.

The H-Series is an environmentally friendly and low-maintenance alternative to rechargeable batteries. These supercapacitors provide efficient energy storage for energy harvesting systems and fast charging for power-hungry applications, making them suitable for both industrial and consumer electronics.

Product range

Cells or Modules:
Single cells, for ultra-thin designs and primary batteries/energy harvesters; or dual cell modules, for rechargeable batteries and USB power supplies.

Series:
H-series supercapacitors operate at 2.75V/cell (2.9V peak) and have a maximum operating temperature of +85°C.

Typical applications:

  • Power spikes for pulse loads
  • Isolate the source from fluctuations in the load (input equalisation)
  • Extend battery life and operating time, especially for 'old or cold' batteries
  • Using cheaper, smaller and low-current batteries
  • Provide an uninterrupted power supply for missions critical to operations
  • Low maintenance and uninterrupted power supply on board
  • Energy storage for energy harvesters and fast charging
  • Environmentally friendly alternative to rechargeable batteries
  • Ultra-thin prismatic cells and modules: Ideal for use in space-constrained devices
  • Exceptional power density (up to 158 kW/litre), with best-in-class ESR (from 10 mΩ)
  • High energy density (up to 2.2 Wh/litre), offering high capacitance in small cells
  • Real, continuous operating voltage of up to 2.75V/cell (H series; 2.9V peak)
  • High temperature rating (H series; max 85°C)
  • Excellent low temperature performance (G-series; ~2x nominal ESR at -30°C)
  • Very low leakage current (<1 µA) and ultra-low minimum charging current (<20 µA)
  • Virtually unlimited charge/discharge cycle life
  • Excellent frequency response (CEFFEKTIV)
  • RoHS and REACH compliant, lead-free, halogen-free and conflict metal-free
