316TX-N from Red Lion is an industrial Ethernet switch with sixteen RJ-45 auto-sensing 10/100BaseTX ports. It is specially designed to meet the most demanding needs of industrial communications, ensuring high data throughput with minimal interruptions. The switch uses advanced Ethernet switching technology and can automatically adapt to speed and control settings for each connection.

The 316TX-N features LED indicators that show the link status, speed and activity of each port, as well as power status. Its auto-sensing feature makes installation easy, without extensive cable changes, even when upgrading hosts, systems or Ethernet I/O modules. The device supports up to 4,000 MAC addresses, making it suitable for advanced and complex network architectures.

This switch is ideal for upgrading existing hubs and repeaters, increasing network bandwidth and minimising collisions. The 316TX-N offers a cost-effective solution with plug-and-play simplicity, and it simplifies cabling in facilities by eliminating the need for connections to be made in climate-controlled environments. For harsh industrial environments, the 316TX-N features enhanced temperature, shock and vibration specifications, as well as redundant power supply for increased reliability. The switch can be DIN rail mounted or panel mounted, providing great flexibility in installation.

N-View OPC Port Monitoring (only with -N option)

With N-TRON N-View OPC Server software, the switch can be combined with popular HMI applications to monitor network traffic, trends and alarms. N-View OPC Server collects 41 different traffic variables per port and five system-level variables per switch, providing a complete overview of network load and quality. OPC client applications can use this data to quickly resolve network issues and improve system reliability.
