ThinLine H series supercapacitors

ART.NO: ThinLine supercaps H series

ThinLine H series supercapacitors from CAP-XX offer a powerful and efficient solution for managing pulse loads and energy storage in space-constrained devices. These supercapacitors operate at a nominal voltage of 2.75V (2.9V peak) and have an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, making them ideal for demanding environments and applications.

ThinLine H Series supercapacitors are ideal for managing power spikes at pulse loads, extending battery life and providing a reliable backup power supply. They enable the use of small, low-current batteries such as thin-film and solid-state batteries, lithium, silver oxide, and zinc-air button cell batteries, as well as alkaline batteries. Due to their fast charging, the supercapacitors can be easily charged via cable, docking station or induction, maximising the operating time of connected devices.

The ThinLine H series is an environmentally friendly and maintenance-free alternative to rechargeable batteries. These supercapacitors offer efficient energy storage for energy harvesting systems and support power-hungry functions such as wireless transmissions, GPS positioning and haptic feedback, making them suitable for both industrial and consumer electronics applications.

Product range

Cells or Modules:
Single cells, for ultra-thin designs and primary batteries/energy harvesters; or dual cell modules, for rechargeable batteries and USB power supplies.

Sizes:
ThinLine supercapacitors are available in three sizes:

  • Z series: 17.0mm x 19.0mm
  • A series: 19.5mm x 20.0mm
  • W series: 28.0mm x 20.2mm

All parts are available in thicknesses of 600µm, 700µm and 900µm (thicker cells offer higher capacitance and lower ESR). All parts are available in the H series (2.75V, 85°C).

  • Extremely thin, flexible packaging (as little as 0.6 mm thick)
  • Highest power density available today (up to 94kW/litre) and high power output
  • Ultra-low ESR (from 45mΩ), even at low temperatures (2x nominal at -40°C)
  • High energy density (up to 0.7Wh/litre) and cell voltage (up to 2.75V/cell)
  • Wide operating temperature range (from -40°C to +85°C)
  • Very low leakage current (typically < 1µA/cell)
  • Long lifetime (virtually unlimited) and excellent frequency response
  • Environmentally friendly: RoHS, REACH & WEEE compliant, lead-free, halogen-free and conflict metal-free
  • UL and ISO 9001-2008 certified
