Development module for FECS series sensors

ART.NO: EM-FECS(B)

EM-FECS(B) is a development module from Figaro Engineering designed to test and evaluate the three-electrode electrochemical gas sensors of the FECS series. The module allows users to easily measure and analyse the performance and sensitivity of the sensors under different conditions, making it ideal for development and research in gas detection.

By obtaining the output voltage (VOUT) corresponding to the sensitivity characteristics of the sensors, the properties of the FECS sensor can be easily evaluated. This makes it possible to quickly verify the performance of the sensors and gain a deeper understanding of how they react to different gas concentrations.

Description of operations

The FECS series sensor is placed in the sensor socket of the EM-FECS(B). If target gas is present, the current flowing from the FECS series sensor (*1) is converted into an output voltage. There is a linear relationship between the output voltage and the concentration of the target gas. By measuring the output voltage at a known target gas concentration in advance, the concentration of the gas can be calculated from the measured output voltage values (*2).

This simple and efficient method allows sensors to be quickly calibrated and adjusted for different environments and applications. The module is also equipped with clear indicators and connectivity options that facilitate integration with other test and measurement equipment, making it a versatile tool for engineers and technicians.
