Customisable LCD screens from 6.22" to 67.4"
ART.NO: chip pixels
From Litemax Stretched displays with ultra-wide, customised aspect ratios use screen alignment technology which is a highly cost-effective solution for producing custom screen sizes to fit in space-constrained applications. The adjustment technology does not change the environmental or optical performance of the display, and it retains the same contrast, viewing angle and interface as the original display before segmentation. The displays benefit from the latest LCD technology without the cost of developing a customised LCD. Segmentation literally means cutting glass, polarisers, circuits and circuit boards.
The screens that have been segmented are often referred to as specific extractions from the original screen surface, such as 1/8-segment, 1/4-segment, 1/3-segment or 1/2-segment. Most 58″ screens on the market today have UHD resolution with 3840 x 2160 pixels. If we divide this screen into a 1/4 segment, the vertical aspect becomes smaller, resulting in a resolution of 3840 x 540 pixels. If the screen is segmented to a third of its height, the diagonal measurement shrinks and the resolution is adjusted accordingly.
Digital signage is a market where these re-sized displays are commonly used. They can be installed in a location where a full-size screen would never fit. This gives businesses an opportunity to deliver targeted messages to their audience, while offering a unique and eye-catching display for messaging, infotainment, entertainment and advertising.
